cheapest way to travel from new york to pittsburgh?
trying to plan a trip to pittsburgh to visit some friends...i don't have access to a car. what would be the cheapest way to get there, bus, train or plane?

Check amtrak.com greyhound.com and kayak.com The answer will vary absed on when you want to go, and how much time you want to invest. Kayak is a search engine that searches all of the major airline ticket sites at once. Put in your favorite NY airport and select "include nearby airports" and it will search the whole area

i would just fly b/c it's most convenient. there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://bookme.com/flights.php and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. About Is it possible to travel from Boston, MA to Pittsburgh, PA in one day
Is it possible to travel from Boston, MA to Pittsburgh, PA in one day?
More specifically, from Boston University to Carnegie Mellon University. I am planning a trip and I have one full day, 4/19 (Tuesday), to make it from Boston to Pittsburgh, counting in stops for food. I don't mind leaving really early and arriving really late. Also, how much time should I allow to make the trip. Please don't give use mapquest to give me the answer.

Is it possible? I`d hope you can do it , I go from a little island on the west coast to Boston in 1 day , even stop for a cold beer in Chicago on the way.

In 05 left here in Pittsburgh for Boston drove all day and all night took 12 - 13 hours with very quick stops no more than 15 min only stopped four times hope you enjoy Pittsburgh make sure you visit the Strip District and Dave's Music Mine in South Side

Fly. Kayak.com is showing Delta at $85 one way on 4/19, USAir at $125 for a 1.5 hour flight. With the price of gas and road food, is it worth it to drive?

If you must drive, Philly' about 6 hrs, (from experience), then Pittsburgh is another 5 1/2 hrs. (from Google Earth). And if you're on 95 going through NYC at the wrong time, all bets are off (from experience).

About Fun travel destinations/activities near Pittsburgh for an anniversary
Fun travel destinations/activities near Pittsburgh for an anniversary?
My girlfriend and I have been together for 4 years this coming late September. We have never done anything that exciting because we've been poor and in college. I want to do something fun this year. Our anniversary is late September and we have a ritual of going to every Pittsburgh Penguin home opening game, which is October 2 this year. Therefore, we can go to that game and make a weekend of it. I want to go somewhere fun and romantic near Pittsburgh. Maybe 1 or 2 hours in any direction. Any suggestions?

Wow!!! giving that you are including areas two hours away gives you lots of things to do. If you like amusement parks you could go to Kennywood, or run out to Altoona, there is a place out there that is an amusement park out there that is really inexpensive. I think its called Lakeside or Lakewood. You could try going down to Maryland. Its actually about 2 and a half hours down to Deep Creek Lake, But this time of year would be nice scenery up there and plenty of things to do. Great horse back riding, several places there to rent horses. Fishing, boating, jet skiing, a couple of places to rent boats and jet skis right on the lake. It is kind of a hidden treasure. Not much out that way, and it leads down to Oakland, Maryland, the into the smaller towns of West Virginia, so it is not usually crowded at the lake. Hope this helps a little. Have fun

Kennywood is always a good time! You should really check into that, its a blast for anyone. There is so much to do downtown. You can go to the Strip District and do some shopping, you can go kayaking in one of the rivers, or there are boat rides and tours everywhere! Also if you're interested, check out some of the museums and the Science Center! They're really cool. hope you have a good time!

What's the cheapest way to travel from Bucks County to Pittsburgh?
My sister just started going to college in Pittsburgh, and I need a way to visit her without emptying my bank account. I live in the Newtown/Yardley area of Bucks county. Does anyone know a reasonable way to make the trip?

About how much would it cost to travel from pittsburgh PA to north korea
how much would it cost to travel from pittsburgh PA to north korea?
also about how long is the flight? I wanted to say South Korea not North. opps

Y would you want to go to NK you might get bombed:(

Are you serious? It may cost your life. Anyway, you have to deal with a lot of paperwork and documents before you leave for North Korea. There is no US embassy or US consulate in North Korea and the government can not protect you if anything happens. There is no flight to NK, so you have to go to China first and get a flight to that hermit kingdom. Why don't you visit South Korea? It would be much safer and more interesting than North Korea.

Have you checked the visa requirements to entry NK. I doubt they have direct flights. I hope you know what the hell your doing.

do they even let people in? they have such a strict government! i wouldn't wanna go there. this worker/owner from a factory was killed in front of 150,000 people just for making an long distance call. why not SOUTH korea?
