Travel by river from Pittsburgh, PA to Houston, TX?
I would like to travel by river, in a small boat of some kind, from Pittsburgh to Houston. For fun. Does anybody know if this is possible? I know that the Ohio runs into the Mississippi which goes to New Orleans which gets me pretty close but what types of obstacles could I expect along the way and how could I get around them?

It has to be possible, because we were looking at a riverboat cruise from Pittsburgh to New Orleans.
